The problem

In Thailand, teams, families and communities organise themselves in LINE group chats. When the members speak different languages, messages get copied into translation apps one at a time, or simply go unread.

What we built

LINE AutoTranslate is an AI translation bot for LINE group chats. Add it to a group, pick the languages, and every message is translated automatically, with no commands needed.

It understands context, slang and typos, and keeps the tone of the message.
It supports 33 languages, up to 4 at once on paid plans.
Paid plans add translation of voice messages and of text in photos.
There is a free plan and paid subscriptions, billed through Stripe.
It complies with Thailand’s PDPA, and messages are deleted within 48 hours.

The backend is written in Python (Flask) with PostgreSQL.

Result

35,000+ active users, 2M+ translations a year (as of September 2026).
